What is a ‘sola wood’ flower?

Our flowers are made from sola wood - a type of soft balsa wood, which is derived from tapioca plant root. They are soft and natural-looking, which makes them the perfect choice for a life-like arrangement. In their natural state they are an ivory/cream color, but we can dye them any color you’d like! Since each flower is handmade, no two flowers are alike and natural variation will occur. That variation is what makes each flower so unique and beautiful!

How do i care for my flowers?

With the right care, these flowers will last a lifetime. Please keep them away from open flame, do not allow prolonged contact with liquid, and handle gently. For safe storage, store your flowers in a cool, dry place. Do not keep in air-tight containers or places with excessive moisture, as the flowers are made from natural wood which needs to breathe. Keep out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time to preserve the color of your flowers. To dust, use a hairdryer on the ‘cool’ setting.

Where can i find color options?

Please view our product galleries to see examples of colors and color schemes we have used for products in the past. We will discuss your color options in greater detail when you submit your inquiry. If there is a color you wish to include that we do NOT already supply, there may be an additional fee.
